Nutrition care for a brighter future

Are you struggling with disordered eating or an eating disorder? Do you feel that your relationship with food is not what you want it to be? Are you a loved one or parent of someone struggling? Together, we can create a new path forward.

I specialize in eating disorders, with a particular focus on Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder and picky eating. I work with clients ages 5 and up and their families to learn how to nourish their child or selves through disordered eating, try new foods and expand diet variety, and reduce distress around eating. No matter your food struggles, I am here to help you find ways to heal your relationship with food and nourish yourself in a way that feels good.

About

Hi - I'm Savannah. I am a registered dietitian licensed in the state of South Carolina. I completed my dietetics coursework at the University of Houston and my dietetic internship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). I first worked with the Clemson Cooperative Extension Service before transitioning to the MUSC Health Center for Eating Disorders. I have experience with all eating disorder diagnoses and am trained in a variety of modalities. I am currently working on my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist certification through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, with an expected completion date of fall 2025. In my free time, I enjoy bike riding, checking out more books than I can read from the library, and singing with the Charleston Symphony Chorus.

Services

I provide nutrition counseling to individuals ages 5 to adult experiencing eating disorders, picky eating, and/or struggles with food, body image, or exercise. My approach is person-centered and collaborative. I use a variety of modalities including family based treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, intuitive eating, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Appointments are currently available via telelhealth. In person appointments will be available starting in August 2025.

At this time I do not take insurance. Superbills can be provided upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, based on your coverage. Please contact your insurance provider to check your coverage for out-of-network medical nutrition therapy.

Individual Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will cover your history and get to know one another. This time will be spent exploring your medical history, relationship with food, nutritional concerns, lifestyle, and more. By the end of the consultation we will have a baseline understanding of your history and our goals for working together.

(90 minutes) $220

Family Initial Consultation

A family initial consultation is recommended for parents seeking treatment for their child. In this initial consultation, we will discuss the current concerns, each person's perspective, the family dynamics around food and eating, and more. This longer appointment time allows me to speak with everyone and gather all the information I need to make a treatment plan.

Follow-up session

During follow-ups we will discuss progress towards goals, wins, barriers, and plans for the future.
